Michael Spence, a Nobel laureate in economics, is Professor of Economics Emeritus and a former dean of the Graduate College of Enterprise at Stanford College. He’s Senior Fellow on the Hoover Establishment, Senior Advisor to Basic Atlantic, and Chairman of the agency’s International Progress Institute. He serves on the Tutorial Committee at Luohan Academy, and chairs the Advisory Board of the Asia International Institute. He was chairman of the impartial Fee on Progress and Growth, a global physique that from 2006-10 analyzed alternatives for world financial progress, and is the creator of The Subsequent Convergence: The Way forward for Financial Progress in a Multispeed World (Macmillan Publishers, 2012).
